A SPIRITED wind band are going back in time for a memorable medieval performance.
Vibrant wind band Blondel will be putting on a show of renaissance and medieval music at Beaminster Festival on July 2.
Performing at St Mary’s Church, the band use historical instruments, shawms, bagpipes, recorders and curtals to engage audiences with a joyful and uniquely blended sound.
The bold tones of a shawm band cut through the hustle and bustle of banquet halls and city squares in medieval times.
Performing ceremonial fanfares and intimate chansons, and reconstructing and depicting medieval music the band will be bringing something truly unique to the festival.
Catch the performance for a blast into the past and a dose of something different.
Beaminster Festival is celebrating music, literature and theatre from June 25 to July 3.
