A YELLOW weather warning issued for Dorset tomorrow has been upgraded to amber.
The amber warning for rain means that people should be prepared for the possibility of flooding.
There is a yellow warning of rain for later today and an amber warning for Saturday.
The Met Office issued the alert for the south west region including Dorset. It says heavy, thundery downpours are expected to develop later tonight across southern England.
These are likely to be isolated initially but become more widespread overnight with the risk of some locally large rainfall totals giving rise to surface water flooding. Lightning, hail and gusty may also be added hazards.
