THE WHOLE Broadwindsor community came together to get ‘Happy.’
The West Dorset village created their own version of the Pharrell Williams’ song. You can watch their wonderful video below.
Children from the primary school, staff and volunteers from the community shop, the vicar Jo Neary and her church cleaners are among those taking part. It also includes a singing horse and funky farmers Tim and Andrew Frampton.
Broadwindsor Jubilee Group joint secretary Margery Hookings, who filmed the video with help from fellow member Donna Heys, said: “We know lots of big places have done it – you just have to google it and there are videos from all over the world – and we thought we ought to get in on the act.
“It stemmed from a bit of a joke between Donna and me and then we thought, yes, why not? Broadwindsor’s as happy and lively as anywhere and we love it.
“It wasn’t difficult to persuade people to be in it – this is a village that is always happy to get involved in community activities.
“Although I have to admit preparing for some of the shots was a bit like herding cats.”
And here it is, enjoy!
