Police searching for a missing man from Surrey believe he may have driven to Lyme Regis.

Surrey Police searching for 46-year-old David Blair, from Camberley, have extended their search to coastal areas including Lyme Regis and the Port Solent area of Hampshire.

Members of the public are being asked to report any sightings of Mr Blair's distinctive green Corsa. A CCTV image of the car was taken at 9.52am on Wednesday, September 17 on the A31 at Wrecclesham and officers believe he was heading towards Hampshire at this time.

Detective sergeant Emma Lefort from the missing persons unit, said: "David's family believe he may have headed towards a coastal area and so we have widened our search to Port Solent and Lyme Regis to see if there have been any sightings of him. We are particularly asking people to look out for his bright green car, which is extremely distinctive. If you have seen this parked up at a beauty spot, hotel car park or other establishment, please contact us as a matter of urgency."

Mr Blair was last seen by a family member on Wednesday, September 17. He has not been seen or heard from since. Police said it is out of character for him not to return home or make contact with anyone for this length of time.

He drives a green Vauxhall Corsa with the registration number LO62 OOH and anyone who has seen this vehicle is asked to contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Mr Blair is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt, blue denim jeans and boots.
