THREE cars have crashed on the A35 close to the scene of an earlier collision.
Police were called to the incident along the eastbound carriageway at Chideock Hill at 2:22pm after reports that three vehicles had crashed.
The collision involved a black Vauxhall Insignia registered to a man from East Sussex, a white Vauxhall Corsa registered to a woman from Devon and a black BMW 320d registered to a man from Devon.
Two people were treated for minor injuries at the scene by paramedics.
At around 11am this morning, three cars collided between Chideock and Lyme Regis. Two people, including one suffering with chest pains, were taken to Dorset County Hospital.
The road was closed while a fuel spillage was cleared up and was re-opened at 2:24pm.
The A35 was partially blocked eastbound at Chideock while recovery work took place for the second collision, but traffic is now flowing again and there are no lane restrictions in place.
