POLICE are hunting a man after a car window was smashed and items stolen from inside.

Bridport police are appealing to witnesses and anyone with information about the theft from the motor vehicle on the Dreadnought Trading Estate, Bridport on Wednesday (29) to get in touch.

A spokesman for the police said: “At approximately 8am on Wednesday (29) a white male aged in his 30s, wearing a grey hooded top was seen by staff at premises in the Dreadnought Trading Estate looking into parked vehicles. “The male was challenged by an employee of a nearby property and the male ran off making good his escape.”

The spokesman added: “Upon return a search was conducted by Police officers, it was then discovered that a window of a Mitsubishi Shogun had been smashed and items were stolen from inside.
