TWO people have been arrested after police carried out a drugs raid in Bridport.

Bridport police officers, assisted by specialist officers and police dogs, executed a search warrant at a property along Normandy Way at around 9.30am on Friday.

A spokesman for Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This address was believed to be linked to supply and misuse of controlled drugs.

“The subsequent search, which included the use of a specialist police search dog resulted in controlled drugs and cash being discovered that was seized.

“As a result of this a 26-year-old local male resident and a 42-year-old local female resident were arrested for drug related offences.

“This latest intervention is part of Bridport police’s ongoing operation to target people who we suspect are involved in the supply of illegal drugs, and to tackle the users who bring the associated violence, crime and anti-social behaviour to our town.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101.
