BRIDPORT Museum is running a crowdfunding campaign and west Dorset businesses are helping by offering rewards.

The museum launched its ‘all-or-nothing’ crowdfunding campaign to raise £20,000 at the beginning of June.

Museum curator Emily Hicks said: “We are absolutely thrilled to announce even more wonderful rewards for our crowdfunding campaign from Bella’s, Bridport Lighting Centre, Chocolatier Café, Denhay Farm, Jurassic Coast Team, the Pickled Ginger and Olive Tree Restaurants, and Stephen Banks to name just a few.

“While we have a tough target to achieve and a very tight deadline, we are hoping our local community will continue to dig deep”.

Amanda and George Streatfeild of Denhay Farm are offering a farm visit and guided walk as a reward and another ‘money-can’t-buy’ reward has been offered by the Olive Tree- a chef’s table for up to six people.

Simon Mazzei, owner and head chef said: “We love Bridport, we love our local museum, we hope you do too.’

This reward will see Simon and his sous chef prepare canapes, a six-course Mediterranean feast.

using seasonal and locally produced ingredients, and talk guests through a selection of complementary drinks.
