Three men were arrested in Bridport.

The men were arrested following proactive patrols from Bridport Police officers which took place across Bridport, Lyme Regis and Beaminster.

One of the men was arrested in the North Allington area for breaching a court order.

Another was arrested for a prison recall and then proceeded to assist the officers with the arrest of the third man for affray and criminal damage.

Affray is an instance of group fighting in a public place that disturbs the peace.

The arrests took place on the evening of Wednesday, December 20.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers conducted proactive patrols in Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis, resulting in the arrest of three males in Bridport.

“One male being arrested for breaching a Court order, another arrested for a prison recall and then assisted response Officers with the arrest of a third male for affray and criminal damage in the Bothenhampton area – following enquiries no further action taken.”
