Residents of a road in Beaminster have been trapped by a fallen tree.
The tree fell across Flaxfield Road at approximately 1pm.
This has blocked many of the residents on Flaxfield Road, and Flaxfield Rise from leaving.
The tree can be seen spanning the entire width of the road and even blocks the adjacent footpath.
Highways agencies have been informed.
A Flaxfield resident said: "Anyone my side of the tree can’t leave as we are a cul-de-sac at Flaxfield Rise so can’t get out of Flaxfield Road.
"I have informed highway agencies as have other residents."
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for wind which is in place until 9pm.
It said that in coastal areas winds are likely to gust towards 60 mph at times, with a lower likelihood of 70 mph gusts.
