A huge fire at a barn was caused by an unattended candle
The blaze was tackled by dozens of firefighters through the night.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the fire at Hooke, near Beaminster on Friday night.
Crews were at the scene until the early hours when the incident was scaled back.
The fire caused considerable damage to a barn including a workshop and three vehicles.
Earlier, a spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: "At 10.22 pm both pumps from Bridport Fire Station along with pumps from Beaminster Fire Station, Maiden Newton Fire Station and a water carrier from Yeovil Fire Station were all mobilised to a barn fire in Hooke.
"Multiple hose reels and main lines were used to bring the fire under control using water supplies from a hydrant and also a nearby lake. The incident was scaled down to two relief pumps at 2 am which remained on scene damping down.
"There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation."
Later, Maiden Newton Fire Station said "considerable damage was caused to the barn including a workshop and three vehicles". It said the fire was caused by an unattended candle and issued a few vital safety tips if you use candles at home.
A spokesperson said: "Make sure candles are on a stable surface, secured in a fire-resistant holder, and out of the reach of pets and children.
"Keep lit candles away from flammable objects such as furniture, curtains, bedding and books.
"Burn candles in a well-ventilated room, out of drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, soot and dripping.
"Most importantly - never leave burning candles unattended. Put out candles when you leave the room and make sure they are fully extinguished before you go to bed or leave the property.
"In all cases, please ensure that you have working smoke alarms in your home, check them regularly and ensure that you and your family have planned an escape route in the event of a fire. Above all, stay safe.
"Get out, Get us out by dialling 999 and asking for the fire Service and Stay out. Do not return to a burning building."
