A CAR crashed into a wall in Beaminster.

A car left the road and crashed into a wall on the junction between B3163 Whitcombe Road and East Street in Beaminster.

Police and the fire service rushed to the scene of the crash.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Slow traffic has been reported in the area following the crash.

This slow traffic is "not helped by temporary traffic lights" nearby, according to Travel Dorset.

Drivers are expected to find alternative routes.

Dorset Police said: "At 8.58am on Tuesday, February 27, we received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Whitcombe Road in Beaminster.

"It is reported that a car has left the road and collided with a wall. There are currently no reports of any serious injuries. Officers are currently in attendance with the fire service."

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to Whitcombe Road, Beaminster at 9.04am today following reports of a road traffic collision. 

"One fire engine from Beaminster attended along with one from Crewkerne (Devon & Somerset FRS) and on arrival found one vehicle involved which had hit a wall.

"No casualties were reported."
