Two Lyme Regis businesses have been recognised in regional business awards.
Environmental education company Little Green Change and seaside café Beach and Badger both received awards in the Jurassic Business Awards for 2024.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, February 29 at Sidmouth Rugby Club.
The awards celebrate local businesses which have made a significant contribution to the local economy and community spirit, covering Charmouth, Seaton, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster.
Little Green Change (LGC) won the Green/Eco Business of the Year Award for its education programmes, events, competitions, projects and actions with schools and communities.
One of these projects was the launch of the company's first environmental magazine, where student writers were invited to contribute articles focusing on specific topics like fast fashion or micro plastic pollution.

The group’s founder and director, Clare Matheson said: “I'm delighted to accept this award on behalf of all our colleagues, volunteers, funders, supporters, schools, students, charity and business partners.
“We launched just 6 months ago, but it's thanks to all of them that we've been able to offer so many free education programmes, expert speaker talks, community events, projects and more in this short space of time. We have lots of exciting developments in the pipeline, so we're looking forward to what the coming months and years hold.”
The Beach and Badger pie shop and café, located in Marine Parade above on the Lyme Regis seafront also won an award for Excellence in Customer Service.
Having only opened ten months ago, owner Jane Croft, is delighted that the efforts of her workforce have been recognised in these regional awards.
“It’s amazing as we’ve only been open for ten months, so to receive something like this is phenomenal. When we went into opening it, we wanted a good team that felt like a family. This award is not really for me it’s for the staff who are all absolutely amazing whether they work for a day or five days. It’s just phenomenal.”
Ms Croft also shared plans to expand the business to open another café in the Bridport area, hoping to open sometime in April.
