Part of the coast road between Weymouth and Bridport will be closed for roadworks.
The B3157 will be closed at Swyre between its junction with Clay Lane and its junction with Back Lane, a distance of approximately 1,300 metres.
This closure will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 27.
It will enable Multevo Ltd to have safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance including kerbing, signposts and iron works.
The alternative route, which will be sign-posted is as follows: A35 - B3159 - A354 - B3157.
