Gardeners can share their bounty of spring sowings by bringing them to Bridport’s upcoming plant swap.

Bridport Community Shed, based at Mountfield, will be holding its second plant swap from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, May 11.

Visitors will be able to pass on their surplus seedlings while also being able to pick up plants they may not have thought to grow before.

The event is being supported by Bridport Food Matters, a local umbrella organisation, which aims to provide information on food matters in the Bridport area, supporting people to attain food equality and environmental resilience.

Sustainable Bridport will also be running a stall selling their vegetables grown at St Mary’s school and Bridport Primary as part of its Edible Garden project.

People are invited to bring a plant or seedlings to swap or simply come along and take plants in exchange for a donation to the Bridport Community Shed and Bridport Food Matters.
