A DINGHY was towed back to shore after suffering a mechanical problem.
The Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched on Friday evening, just before 7pm, when a Laser dinghy with one person aboard suffered a gear failure just outside the harbour.
A spokesman from Lyme Regis RNLI, said: “The dinghy, and its sailor, were towed to safety ashore by the lifeboat crew.
“The lifeboat was launched at 6.57pm and returned to harbour some twenty minutes later.”
