LYME Regis Gig Club had two reasons to celebrate at the Salcombe Estuary Regatta last weekend.
Competing against clubs including Caradon, Cattewater, Teignmouth and Dartmouth, Lyme’s men’s and women’s C teams both triumphed in their respective races.
The A teams battled hard in their events, the men coming 11th and the women seventh, then the B crews took to the gruelling 1.8-mile course.
The men registered another 11th place while the women finished eighth, before both vets teams clinched third places.
Lyme Regis came fourth overall out of 12 clubs.
West Bay hosts the Bridport Gig Rowing Regatta this Saturday, starting at 11am.
