TREVOR Senior insists the Bees will show no fear in Saturday’s FA Vase second round clash against Highworth Town (3pm), as they travel to Swindon in search of revenge.

The Worthians bundled home a last-minute winner to knock the Bees out of the FA Cup in August in a tense encounter at St Mary’s Field.

But the Bridport boss insists his side are much improved since then, and they go into the contest having won six of their last eight games, including a 5-1 victory over Winterbourne United last weekend, thanks to goals from Jamie Symes, Warren Byerley, Tom Richardson, Adam Symes and Jamie Filkins.

Commenting on the upcoming clash, he told Echosport: “It’s a massive game for the club and I’ve been thinking about it since the last round. We owe them one from when they beat us in the FA Cup 3-2 but we shot ourselves in the foot really.

“We are away from home and the onus will be on them. They are a decent side and, looking at their team, they have got one or two personnel in since we played them.”

Senior is prepared for prolific Highworth hitman TJ Bohane, who has already found the net more than 20 times for the Worthians this term.

“He is a handful and they have one or two others that caused us problems,” he added.

“But when we got at them I thought we had chances and we won’t go there with fear, we will be in a confident mood but not complacent.

“We are not going there to make up the numbers or be shot at, we want to show them what we can do going forward and it was pleasing on Saturday to have five different scorers.

“You have to take your chances when you are on top, even though we scored five on Saturday our finishing could have been better, and when you play better sides like Highworth you have to take your chances. But they are beatable, anybody is on their day.

“We have to make sure that our attitude is right, especially in the cups, you don’t get many chances of progress like we have this year in the Vase. To still be in two cups in November is unusual for Bridport so we want to keep going into December.”

Matt Condliffe, who received high praise from Senior last week, is set to return after serving his suspension but Chris Clarke is still unavailable.

The Bees’ boss is also confident that Matt Morley will be fit after he suffered a dead leg on Saturday which meant he had to be replaced early on.
