BRIDPORT interim manager Mark Carter believes while the turmoil continues to run through his stretched squad, his current crop of players could learn a lot from experienced striker Mark Salter.
Carter believes the skilled frontman, who scored twice in the 5-2 defeat at Gillingham Town last week, has led the line with real professionalism.
Speaking about Salter, the interim manager said: “What a pro to join our club in October, when we were doing alright, and to now have it come to this.
“He plays football because he loves it, never brings hassle to it, and is a dedicated pro.
“I turned around and said to the players that they want to look at Mark Salter and what a role model he is. I said ‘wherever you all will be next year, take a leaf out of his book’.”
Carter is hopeful of having Warren Byerley, Ryan Dovell and Ryan Hayter available for tomorrow's clash at Hallen (7.45pm).
The Bees’ chief, who has been left without a goalkeeper in the last two games, has also enquired about borrowing stopper Steve Boore from Weymouth.
Bridport have currently won just one game in their last 16 outings and have recorded 35 points from as many league games so far this season.
