THERE were some excellent scores in Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club’s men’s September Medal on Sunday, the highlight being eight sub-70 nett scores.

Sixty-six was the lowest score and one of those was carded by club captain Ian Kearley who won Division Two.

Sixty-six was also the best score in Division One and this was Gavin Gay’s winning score and his 75 was also the lowest gross.

There were just six entrants in that division and four of those came in with nett scores in the 60s.

Terry Cleal topped Division Three with a nett 67.

Another highlight of the day was a hole-in-one at the sixth by Martin Horton in Division Two. This is the best hole at Bridport to score an ace because you have a bird’s eye view of the event from the cliff-top.
