BRIDPORT are ready to seize the day as they face Okehampton Argyle in the Walter C Parson Cup semi-final at Cullompton this evening (7.30pm).

Chris Herbst’s Bees head into their second cup semi-final of the season, having lost 2-1 to Hamworthy Rec in the Dorset Senior Cup.

However, the Bees are in good form having collected back-to-back wins in the past seven days.

Speaking after the 3-1 win over Cullompton, Herbst revealed he would use the Rec defeat to fuel the Bees’ fire.

He said: “We’ve beaten Okehampton before but that goes out of the window. It’s a semi-final and anything can happen.

“Personally, I feel if we can play like we have the last couple of games, we’ll get to the final. I’m confident of that.

“I said to them straight after (Rec) to bottle this feeling up and take it straight into the next semi-final. Everyone’s taken that on board. They’re so determined to get there.”

Bridport strikers Sol Ayunga and Brad Rowe return to boost the Bees.

Bridport will play in their home red and black stripes, with Argyle donning their blue and yellow jerseys.

Extra-time and penalties shall be required pending a draw after 90 minutes.
